Kike Sánchez

 

b. 1950 (Montevideo, Uruguay)

Ms Sanchez moved to Porto Alegre, Brazil with her parents in 1967 and began her studies at the School of Architecture that same year. In 1968, Ms. Sanchez also began taking classes at the Academy of Applied Arts in Porto Alegre, with a strong emphasis on drawings and mixed media painting. In 1970, she returned to Montevideo, where she continued her art studies under Sergio Curto and Andres Montani. Two years later, Ms. Sanchez was awarded a one-year scholarship to study at Barcelona’s Institute of the Arts.
